2. Photo Entertainment

Photo booths, backdrops and photo props are all the rage at weddings. The photos make a great favor for the guests to take home, and everyone has a great time choosing costumes and props and posing for the camera. Use a wide variety of large photo frames, hats, glasses, and other costume accessories. You can even use erasable signs such as chalkboards or dry-erase boards so guests can write their own messages.

3. Mix & Match

Rather than the same old traditional single centerpiece, mix it up with various vases and flowers in various shades of one color. You can mix and match any size with no rhyme or reason, so it's a great project for DIY brides!

We did some awesome centerpieces and bouquets for a winter wedding yesterday! The bride wanted snow on her wedding day....and she got it! It was really coming down all day long, so I hope she was able to get some amazing snow pictures! The wintery centerpieces were silver manzanita branches with hanging crystals and white flowers (hydrangeas, roses and stephanotis with crystals).

Planning Tips :: Venue Coordinator vs. Wedding Planner/Coordinator

Unfortunately I hear this a lot, and I'd like to open the floor to other planners, venues and vendors for commentary here. I think it's a huge misconception among brides. "I don't need to hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator because my venue has an onsite coordinator".

It's true the venue may provide someone to oversee and coordinate your event, but that doesn't mean you should nix a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. Both are equally important, and both do completely different jobs. Some venues can have more than one reception going at a time, and the onsite coordinator might be overseeing multiple events. Most of the time after dinner is served, their portion of the evening is done and you might not see them again. Another issue you might run into is having a different coordinator at your event than the one you spent all your time planning with. Turnover is high in the industry, and it's definitely possible that could happen (been there, dealt with that, several times.)

The biggest difference is that the venue coordinator is there to handle anything with regards to the venue. A wedding planner is there to handle anything pertaining to you and your wedding, both ceremony and reception. The duties will overlap a bit in some areas, but for the most part they will do different jobs. For example, an onsite coordinator won't run home for you if you forgot the ring bearer pillow, or track down a missing limo, or take back tuxedo rentals after the wedding.

Things an On-Site Coordinator will provide:

Menu planning and tasting
Provide a list of recommended vendors who have worked in the venue before
Assist with a room diagram and suggest setup options, and possibly create a reception timeline
Oversee the setup of the event (tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, flatware, etc...)
Oversee the catering staff and make sure dinner is correct and served on time
Set out favors, escort cards or place cards you dropped off (ask first, because some don't include this)
Line you up outside the reception and help you with your entrance (ask first, because some don't include this)

Things a Wedding Planner or Day-Of Coordinator will provide:

A master timeline of the entire day to share with everyone involved in the wedding
Set up and/or pick up any of your personal items
Review all vendor contracts and ensure they are carried out accordingly on wedding day
Double check important details; wedding bands, marriage certificate, guestbook & pen,etc...
Handle vendor issues; cake issues, late limo, etc...
Direct and assist your guests at the ceremony and reception
Emergency kit available throughout the day for aspirin, tape, pins, clear nail polish, band aids, scissors, thread & needle, hairspray, mints, etc...
Cue musicians, ceremony processional, reception grand entrance
Offer etiquette advice
Pin boutonnieres and corsages
Make a trip home for something you forgot, or to the store for something you need
Handle any special needs of the bridal party and family
Setup and direct a ceremony rehearsal (if necessary and not provided by a church)
Assist with ceremony details; handing out programs & bubbles, rolling the aisle runner, etc...
And much, much more....

It seems lately I've heard this statement from brides more than in the past. They say venues are telling them there's no need to hire a wedding planner or coordinator. I also hear that some venues are charging the bride & groom an extra fee if they bring in any outside planner or coordinator, and a few just outright ban it. Isn't that a little over the top? To ban a bride from enlisting extra help for what is surely one of the most important days of her life? I think maybe the venues should be educated or informed about what we do differently, and why we're an asset instead of a hurdle. I welcome your thoughts on the topic...

Planning Tips :: Cutting the Guest List

I always tell my wedding clients that cutting people from the guest list is the best and fastest way to trim down your wedding budget. It's not the easiest thing to do, but it's the only way to save on the budget without sacrificing quality or compromising your vision of your wedding day. Sure, you can cut the videographer and save a few bucks. Or, you could cut 8 people from the guest list and save that plus some (think about the cost: 8 meals, bar service for 8 people, 8 favors, 8 slices of cake, and an entire table with a centerpiece, linen, napkins, china, chairs, candles, place cards, etc... See how it adds up so much faster that way, rather than giving the axe to the videographer or ceremony string quartet that you always wanted?

Next comes the daunting task of choosing which people make the cut. Thanks to Brides Magazine and their handy dandy flow chart, this will help to streamline the process of deciding who stays and who goes.

Wedding Dress & Alteration Questions Answered

1. When should I get my dress altered?

About two months prior to your wedding date is best. This period of time is perfect for 2-3 fittings, and at this point weight fluctuation is minimal so the bride avoids a re-alteration.

2. Should I leave my dress in the dress bag or let it breathe?

It is best to leave the dress in its bag in a dark room until a few days before the wedding. After your final fitting, when the dress has been pressed, it should be hung up outside of the bag so it doesn't wrinkle and crease.

3. Should I order a size bigger than my normal dress size?

No. Every size chart runs differently. It is best to purchase based on your measurements. If there are inconsistencies, you should generally choose the dress that fits your largest measurement. However, this depends somewhat on the style of gown. An a-line dress for instance, is more forgiving in the hips. Therefore if your hip measurement doesn't exactly correspond, the dress will likely still fit if the other measurements are true to size.

Rainy Day Weddings

So its raining today and it made me think of some of the weddings we’ve done on rainy days. While mostly we’ve been lucky with good weather over the years I remember a couple really crazy weather days and some of the interesting things I’ve learned about rainy days. Did anyone else know that rain on your wedding day is lucky? I heard that several years ago from a couple while it poured. It didn’t seem to dampen their spirits in the least.

We had an interesting wedding this summer when it went from 100 degrees to thunderstorms while we partied in a tent. Nobody even noticed and the rain stopped just in time to get some incredible sunset pics of the bride and groom. It seems to me that while the weather can’t always be dismissed the real keys to a wonderful wedding day are sharing it with friends and family, the ones we love.

8 Wedding Rules That Can Be Broken

Couples are personalizing their nuptials more and more, and as budgets become stricter, a lot of the old etiquette is being pushed aside. From who pays for the reception to how long afterward you can send a gift, find out which wedding rules are being bent, and which ones can be broken.

1. The bride's family doesn't always pay.

Tradition has always dictated that the bride's family pays for the wedding and the groom's family pays for the honeymoon. But because of the recent recession, that's not necessarily the case anymore. "Oftentimes the actual funding for the wedding, the expenses, are taken care of by a slew of people as opposed to only the bride's family," says Lizzie Post, spokeswoman for the Emily Post Institute and great-great-granddaughter of etiquette expert Emily Post. "You want to honor the tradition by allowing the bride's family to take the reins if they want to, but the groom's family should honor the new custom by offering.”

2. Your wedding party can include all ages and genders.

A male maid of honor, a female best man, grandma as the flower girl—your wedding party is just that, yours; there should be no restrictions. "Platonic friendships nowadays are crossing the gender barrier, so it's not a problem at all if the bride would like a gentleman standing up at her side; she's more than welcome to," Post says. "And even the couple's family [can be included]. There are people who ask their mother to be the matron of honor or ask their grandmother to participate. So it's nice to see that's opened up a lot and people are embracing it."

3. Guests no longer have a full year to buy a gift.

Unfortunately this one might mean a few of us are in trouble! Unlike in years past, you no longer have up to a full year from the wedding to buy the bride and groom a gift. The appropriate time line is now "three months, so it definitely is something you want to try to get done as soon as possible," Post says. "Your friends would be thrilled if a year later you sent them a gift; it's never too late. But three months gives you enough time, especially now with the ability to just click on an online registry."

4. You can decline to be in the wedding party.

You've been in five weddings this year, and with the cost of the dresses, travel and gifts, you're broke. So if another dear friend asks you to join their wedding party, it's more than OK to politely decline. Just explain why in a heartfelt way. "Many modern brides really understand with the travel and distance [usually involved], but it's all in how you do it," Post says. "Say, 'I love you so much and I want to be there to support you, but right now being a bridesmaid is not something I can commit to. Is there another way I can help you on your big day? I know it's so important to show you how much I love you.' Make the bride know you do want to commit to it, but you can't."

5. It's acceptable to ask for gift cards or cash.

Nowadays, with family and friends living across the country and at various stages in their lives, it's definitely acceptable for a bride and groom to ask for gift cards or cash. "It's a great way to make it convenient for the guests and easy on them. I don't think it's tacky," Post says. Whereas you can ask for gift cards on your registry, as far as cash, just be polite about it. "You usually want to spread it by word of mouth. You definitely don't want to put 'cash only' on your website and you never put it on your invitation," Post adds.

6. The groom can see the bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony.

Superstition has it that it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride dressed in white before she walks down the aisle. But a lot of couples are kicking this to the curb for some alone time and a better photo op beforehand. "If the bride and groom are very traditional, they won't see each other before the ceremony. But photographers will encourage it because the bride's makeup is fresh and her hair is done so they can get a lot more photos done before the ceremony," says Elizabeth Todd, wedding coordinator at Blackstone Country Club in Peoria, Arizona. "Afterward, they can take a few family shots and enjoy the cocktail hour."

7. Men can take or leave the wedding ring.

Depending on where you grew up, there was probably a pretty clear norm regarding whether or not husbands wore a wedding ring. But nowadays it's really up to the groom—as long as his bride is fine with his decision. "I think it's totally a personal choice. I know some people choose to tattoo the ring on their finger," Post says. "It's a new option."

8. You don't have to do a wedding cake for dessert.

Maybe Cupcake Wars is responsible for this one—more and more often, modern couples are eschewing the traditional multi-tiered wedding cake and opting for cupcakes, or sometimes a dessert bar. "It's fun for the bride and groom to switch things up for dessert because not everyone likes wedding cake. It's also more fun for little kids; it’s easy to eat, less messy," Todd says. "[The bride and groom will] just do a smaller cake to cut for pictures and then after that's over, guests know they can go ahead and dig into the dessert bar."

If towering tiers of frosted chocolatey goodness are what you had in mind for your wedding day, it’ll cost you. But hey, brides are donning fake eyelashes and nails, so why not fake the cake? You can still have your larger than life wedding cake by only having a few tiers of real cake. Then, your designer can add on Styrofoam layers decorated just like the rest of the cake for those extra tiers and height. Your cake will still elicit oohs and ahhs from all the wedding guests, and they will be none the wiser!

Keep it Simple

Time is money – but it works both ways! One of the main costs for your wedding cake comes from the amount of time required to create your confection. The more intricate and detailed the design, the longer it will take for your designer, and the more dough your designer will take from you. The icing on the cake? The simpler the design, the less cash you’ll be forking over for it. Work with your baker to come up with a beautiful design for your wedding cake that still expresses you and your wedding, but that will cost less of the designer’s time and your money.

Keepin It Real

Fake tiers may be a game changer in wedding cake costs, but fake flowers can be a whole other ballgame. Sugar flowers that look impressively real can look gorgeous on your wedding cake – and they’re edible too! – but, they require extra time and effort on the part of your cake designer, which means more moolah! A cake blossoming in real blooms will still look amazing and will keep your costs down. Locally grown flowers that are in season during your wedding are your budget-friendly best bet.

Kitchen Aid

If you’ve got a big guest list but an itty-bitty budget, figuring out how to feed everyone may be a bit daunting. Let them eat cake! A great money-saving tip is to have a smaller wedding cake at the reception for the cake-cutting (tradition is free!), and then sheets of cake in the kitchen that will be served to your guests. Once the cake is taken to the back to be cut for dessert, your guests will never know the difference – but your wallet will.

We delivered flowers today for Jeannie & David's wedding in Cleveland, and they turned out absolutely beautiful! Jeannie chose a great color palette, and we matched the ribbon sample from her *exactly* for the bouquets! My fave was the bride's bouquet, all full sized white calla lilies. Always such an elegant and classic choice for a bouquet.

While we were waiting, we strolled around the greenhouse and took a few photos. It really is a beautiful place. They have an outdoor area that is perfect for an elegant garden wedding! Unfortunately the weather was dreary today, so I'm sure these photos don't do it justice. :(

Jessica & Chris had a stunning evening wedding at Severance Hall yesterday! Guests were seated in gold Chiavari chairs for the ceremony, and the wedding party lined the staircase where the ceremony took place in the Grand Foyer. The bride was nothing less than stunning in one of my favorite dresses of the year, flawless makeup, and a side swept long curly hair style. Absolutely gorgeous! Their youngest son, Shane, stole the show as the ring bearer. He made it all the way down the aisle perfectly!

After the ceremony, guests were ushered to cocktail hour, where a guitar duo played inside and there was a patio available outside to enjoy the nice evening weather. After the ceremony seating was cleared and the band set up, the guests were brought back in for dinner and the reception.

It was a gorgeous wedding for an amazing couple. Jessica was such a sweetheart to work with, and Chris kept us laughing the whole time! They are a truly genuine and gracious couple. I'm sad my planning time with them has come to an end! We wish Jessica, Chris, Mason, Caleb & Shane all the best in the future, and many years of happiness to come!

Yesterday we worked with Stacey & Ben, a bubbly couple from San Francisco who just warmed my heart! They are so sweet, and so in love! I feel extremely fortunate to have worked with them on their wedding day!

The traditional Jewish ceremony was held outdoor at the Happy Days Lodge at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The weather for the ceremony was absolutely perfect! Stacey actually hand made the fabric for the Chuppah, and she walked down the aisle to Something by The Beatles.

Cocktail hour brought guests into the screened porch for Arnold Palmers in mason jars while Moss Stanley played tunes on his keyboard. The escort card table was filled with photos of their parents and grandparents.

After cocktail hour, the doors were opened for the dining hall and guests were ushered inside. The ceiling throughout the whole room was filled with white lanterns in varying sizes. The dining tables had ivory linens, beige napkins, candles and mason jars filled with multi-colored wildflowers. After introductions, cutting the Challa and dancing the Hora, a delicious menu was served by the fabulous caterers, and then everyone packed the dance floor for Nitebridge!

Yesterday we did flowers and coordination for a super sweet couple, Emily & Bryan. I guess all my anti-rain thoughts worked, because I didn't see a drop! The air was a little crisp, but it really turned out to be a beautiful day!

Emily looked so glamorous! She wore a form fitting satin ivory gown and ivory lace shoes (I loved them!!) with a bird cage veil,, and her makeup was flawless! The bridesmaids wore goddess-like one-shouldered green gowns with floral embellishments. The reception has a slight beach theme, incorporating silver trays of sand for the escort cards and flip flops for the ladies tired dancing feet.

We had three types of centerpieces throughout the tent at CIC. Two varieties of tall centerpieces (one with all flowers and one with white branches and green orchids) and a smaller centerpiece with hydrangeas, roses and berries. The groom's mother provided some green shimmery fabric, which we wrapped around the base of each centerpiece for a splash of color.

It was a really beautiful day with a beautiful couple. Best wishes and many blessings to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

Welcome Our New Intern, Liz!

Welcome Liz to our team!

We actually met Liz at one of our weddings earlier this year. She was the Maid of Honor and had done some amazing DIY projects that really caught our eye! She attended (and works at) Kent State, likes snowboarding and running, and serves on the committee for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Cuyahoga Falls. Welcome aboard Liz! We're so excited to work with you!

This is the escort card display she made for the wedding back in May. It is an engagement photo of the couple, blown up to poster size and cut into squares. Each square around the couple had names on the front and table numbers on the back, and each square was attached to the board with double sided tape (like a puzzle!). When the names had all been picked up buy the guests, just the faces of the couple remained on the board. I LOVED this idea so much, and she did such a great job creating it!

Adrienne and Brad's wedding was absolutely stunning....and probably one of our most challenging to date! Between the heat, the rain, and last minute emergencies to handle, we were definitely on our toes! But after Mother Nature pounded us all weekend with extreme heat and tremendous thunderstorms, she gave Adrienne exactly what she wanted to end the day....a perfectly beautiful sunset over Lake Erie!

Congrats Brittany & Bryan!

Brittany & Bryan were married in an outdoor ceremony at The Bertram Inn in Aurora, Ohio on a beautiful sunny day! With all the rain we've had this summer, the outdoor weddings have made me a bit nervous! But the clouds stayed away for the afternoon and the sun was shining for their ceremony! I also must say, Brittany's lace gown was stunning!!

The cocktail hour was held inside in the foyer, where buffet displays lined the tables and twinkle lights trickled down from ceiling to floor against all the windows. It was a really beautiful touch!

Inside the banquet room, tables were set in two different styles. Deep red linens with sheer ivory overlays and tall centerpieces with clouds of baby's breath, and white linens with short baby's breath centerpieces. The solid baby's breath looked so elegant in the room, and the ceiling treatment with lighting added that finishing touch to the special celebration.

Congrats to the beautiful couple, Brittany & Bryan! Best wishes for a long and happy marriage! It was a true pleasure working such a sweet family!

Guestbook Idea :: Birthday Calendar

Looking for something different from the traditional guestbook? This is a wonderfully creative idea! Provide a calendar instead of a book and ask your guests to sign their names on their birthday. You'll never miss a birthday again! You could also ask married couples to note their own wedding anniversary on the calendar.

Make it a calendar that matches your theme and/or colors (nautical, spring time, birds, etc...). You could even take it one step farther and order a personalized calendar online. Use photos of you and your sweetie for each month; engagement photos, vacation photos, holiday photos, etc... You can also put a special stamp or sticker on your wedding day/anniversary!

DIY Project :: Burlap & Doily Luminaries

I always love creative ways to incorporate candle light at an event. Candles are great on their own, but adding that extra touch of decor with a special holder is one of my favorite things! I saw this posted on Facebook today and just had to share!

You will need:

Glass jars

Adhesive Spray (like Elmer's Craft Bond)
Doilies

Burlap

Twine, buttons, and/or ribbon

Tealight Candles or Battery Operated Tealights

Make sure your jars are clean and dry. Lay the doily flat and spray it with glue. (Make sure to lay out paper, cardboard, or another surface underneath your doily so you don't spray glue directly onto your table!) With the doily still on the table, place the jar onto the doily and roll it until the entire doily is attached.

Spray the rim with adhesive, then wrap the jar rim with burlap. You can also wrap the rim with pretty ribbon then tie a piece of twine around the rim as well. Tie them both in a bow. Another option is to use the canning jar lid, then wrap that with twine or loose threads from your burlap. Thread two of the ends through a button and tie in a knot.

How To Book Live Entertainment For Your Wedding

I received this gem of an email today from Rick Iacoboni, an amazing acoustical guitarist who we have had the pleasure of working with on several occasions. He has some valuable advice on what to look for and how to go about selecting the perfect live music for your event. Thanks for sharing, Rick!

So you finally set the date for the big event – your wedding. You remember that the last wedding you attended had live music at the ceremony, for dinner & cocktails and for dance music at the reception. Upon arrival, you knew right away that something special was happening. There was electricity in the air. Live music has that effect on people. It's the intangible that ties all the senses together. Now it's your turn to stage a wedding and, without question, you have decided to include live music. You want to show your guests that you have stepped up to the plate and made a conscious decision to make your wedding day unforgettable.

Ceremony and Dinner & Cocktail Music
Once your wedding date has been booked, it's never too early to begin looking for performers that will create the appropriate mood for your special day. Like other event vendors, the good ones get booked early - some over a year in advance.

For the ceremony and dinner & cocktail music, you want musicians whose volume is just below the level of conversation. You don't want rock stars, you want ambiance! You must decide the following:

• Do you want strictly instrumental music,
or music with some light vocals?
• Do you want popular, jazz or classical music played
– or a combination?
Next you must determine the number and configuration of musicians. Assuming that price and space are factors, the most common options are soloists, duos, trios and quartets. Soloists most commonly include guitarists (electric and acoustic), harpists, steel percussionists and keyboardists. Duos, trios and quartets usually include a combination of the instruments already listed along with percussionists, bassists, strings and brass players. Before booking ceremony music, check with your religious institution or whoever is marrying you to see if there are any music restrictions, rules or requirements.

Dance Music
Once your guests have been welcomed and have been fed, it's time to party! This is "make or break" time for your wedding reception. The right band will create memories. The wrong band will send everybody home early. Assuming you did your homework as previously recommended, here are the factors to consider when choosing a dance band:

• Music Type: Do you want rock, big band, Motown, country, ethnic, hip hop or a band that plays a variety?

• Size of Band: There's no secret here that the larger the band, the greater the expense. However, due to technological advances such as digital sequencing, bands can now create a full sound - such as horn, string and percussion parts -- with only a minimal amount of performers.

• Specifics: Do you want a female and/or male lead singer? Do you want lots of guitars, horns or strings? Or do you want accordions and button boxes? Do you want the band to be entertaining, i.e. interacting with your guests? Or do you want the atmosphere more restrained?

• Logistics: Your options can be limited due to size and shape of the venue's dance floor and stage area, volume limitations, storage space for the band's equipment, electrical outlets and the venue's closing time. Outdoor events pose even more variables, especially extreme weather conditions.

Finding Musicians
Names of performers can be obtained through a variety of sources:

• Referrals (friends, family, co-workers and other vendors: photographers, florists, etc.).

• Musician websites

• Event planners/consultants

• Booking agents

• Other musicians

• Bridal magazines

Once you have narrowed down your choices to 3 or 4 performers, contact each performer by phone to check availability and pricing. Often first impressions will indicate if your personality is compatible with that of the performer. You'll also get an early indication if the performer has a professional demeanor. Booking fees vary based on a number of factors including number of musicians, number of hours they will perform, load-in/out time, travel, holidays and the day/time of the event.

Ask each artist if they have a website, printed materials and audio and/or video samples. Reputable and experienced performers will have at least two of the four requested items. Find out if you can see and hear a live performance. Additionally, ask each performer for testimonials and/or letters of recommendation from previous clients.

Wedding Festivities
Another important criteria in choosing the right band for your wedding reception is their ability to conduct the wedding festivities, which includes – but is not limited to – announcing of the wedding party, toasts, cutting of the cake, the first dance, the throwing of the bouquet & garter, father-daughter dance and other master-of-ceremony duties. As previously recommended, before booking your band, ask if you can see a video of them conducting the wedding festivities at a wedding; or ask if you can visit an upcoming wedding reception in which they are playing. This requires permission from the bride and groom. This is a very common request.

Performance Agreements
Once you have selected your performer(s) and have agreed to terms, it's time to put it into writing in the form of a contract, AKA "performance agreement." This will be supplied by the musician(s) and include all the pertinent information such as date, times, venue, compensation, breaks, set-up/departure time, number of musicians, method of payment, etc. Discuss overtime fees. It is customary to place down a third to a 50% deposit, with the balance due no later than the night of the engagement.

Regarding hospitality, always provide the performer(s) with water, beverages and/or coffee. For performances over four hours, it is recommended that you offer at least sandwiches to the musicians. It is acceptable to either limit or deny the performer(s) access to alcohol. Tipping the performer(s) is welcome, but not required.

The dress code should be dictated by you. Give the musicians and/or band advance notice about what they should wear. Decide if you want the musicians in formal attire (tuxedos), business casual (sports jacket with or without a tie) or just casual. Female musicians should dress accordingly.

It is fair to expect the performer(s) to use good manners, arrive at least 30-60 minutes prior to the designated start time, play what you agreed upon and act professionally at all times. As your event draws closer, establish contact with the performer to review details and re-confirm all pertinent information.

If the performer's fee exceeds your initial budget, it's time to evaluate the situation. Music will make or break your wedding. Perhaps you can cut back in another area so you can book your first choice performer. Professional musicians deserve to be paid what they are worth. If you want the best, you will need to pay accordingly.

Conclusion
Percentage-wise, live music makes up only a fraction of what a wedding costs. However, it's the one variable that ties everything together to make an event truly memorable. Five years after your wedding, your guests won't remember the ice sculptures, the video presentation or favors. What they will remember is the ambiance, spontaneity and memories that live music creates. That they had a great time! That it was fun and lively. Nothing has the impact of live music!

Since we live in Avon Lake, we love it when we get to work weddings with our "neighbors"! This weekend we had the pleasure of working with two Avon Lake families for Chrissy & Andy's wedding. The ceremony was held right here at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Avon Lake. The church has a pink tone behind the altar, which made for the perfect backdrop for the pink hydrangea bushes and the pink bridesmaids dresses. The colors for this wedding were "Sugar Plum" and "Tea Rose", so different shades of pink were carried throughout the day.

After the ceremony, the wedding party went off for pictures at the lake and we headed to Westwood Country Club. The weather was beautiful for cocktail hour! In addition to the indoor cocktail area, guests took advantage of the patio and gazebo where we decorated with the pink hydrangeas from the church, and the tables had cylinder vases with pink sand and ivory pillar candles.

The dining room was decorated in pink, black and white. Black linens with a white overlay and touches of pink on all the tables with the centerpieces and napkins. In lieu of a favor, the couple made donations to Autism Speaks, so each pink napkin was folded to display the donation card at each place setting. The cake was stunning, with pink and ivory flowers cascading down the sides. When the cake table was removed from the dance floor, a personalized black & white decal was revealed on the dance floor.

Another happy couple down the aisle! Congratulations and best wishes to Chrissy and Andy! This wedding was such a pleasure! Everyone including the couple, their families, and the wedding party were a joy to work with. It's always great to work with a wonderful group of people!
