Congrats Susan & Mo!
I don't have enough nice things to say about Susan and Mo! They were married in Florida, and came to Susan's home state of Ohio to throw a small reception/reunion for her family to meet her new hubby! It was definitely a challenging weekend for them, between the weather and venue conflicts and hotel arrangements, but the way they carried themselves through it all with a smile is inspiring to me. In the end, it was a great day on the lake with family and fabulous food from Bubba's Q! This family is the sweetest! They are an amazing couple, and I feel blessed that we had the opportunity to meet them and work with them!
Congrats to Megan & Carlos!
Megan and Carlos are such a sweet and cute couple, and this was such a fun wedding to be involved with! They were married lakeside at The Lake House in Avon Lake, and then held their reception at Spring Valley Country Club in Elyria. Even though the rain sprinkles just wouldn't let up for their outdoor ceremony, they didn't let that get them down! They smiled all through the lakeside ceremony, sprinkles and all, and they looked so adorable doing it! This entire family was a joy to work with, and we're so glad that we got to be a part of their happy day!
I'm impressed by their spicy first dance!
The super cute mini-bride and mini-groom!

Congrats Lilian & Sumir!
Lilian and Sumir's wedding was another event we did this summer at Deluca's Place in the Park. Theirs was the opposite of the last one we did there - - the ceremony was in the pavilion, and the reception was inside in the ballroom. The color palette of cream and gold with deep red accents was lovely! Lily was such a sweetheart, and we wish their family all the best!
How cute is this???? :)
Congrats Katy & Jake!
Katy & Jake are an adorable military couple! They got married on June 9th, 2012 in Vermilion. This couple has faced so many obstacles during their time together, and we were humbled and honored to have the opportunity to work with them on their wedding! I always love working with military couples.... We wish them all the best in their married life together in San Diego!
Congrats Amanda & Andrew!
Well, we had another wonderful spring and summer wedding season! We've been so busy with events and traveling that we've fallen behind in our posting of real wedding photos! We're going to catch up today with a
series of posts from some of our spring and summer events and get this blog up to date!
Amanda & Andrew were married at Deluca's Place in the Park in Lorain on June 3rd. Their ceremony was outside, and their reception was in the lovely pavilion! The pavilion at Deluca's Place in the Park is one of my favorite outdoor wedding spots! You can do so much with it, and it's the best of both worlds - - it's outdoors and surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains, but since it's completely covered (with the cutest green and white striped side walls available if needed) you have a shelter in case bad weather blows in!
Amanda is extremely creative and visual, so she came up with the theme and decor ideas for the wedding, and she did a LOT of DIY projects! Hand painted wooden signs, rustic wooden accents, blue and teal butterflies, and my favorite thing at this wedding - - centerpiece cakes! Everything was extremely detailed and adorable....

Small Special Touches for Your Wedding
When you’re planning your wedding, remember that the little things are what people will remember. Everyone
already expects the ceremony and the reception with a fantastic DJ with great
food and drinks. Pick out a theme for your wedding that fits the both of your
personalities so that when people walk in they say, “Oh my gosh that is SO Jack
and Suzie!”
There are many resources to find personal touches for your special day. Explore bridal magazines, blogs, Facebook, Pinterest, and other
wedding websites. Anything crafty or personal that you like...add it! But be
careful of taking it too far. Too many small details can make your wedding decor feel too busy or cluttered.
Try these ideas! Small things like the groomsmen all wearing funky
socks or the bridesmaids all wearing a homemade beaded bracelet. Make
packages for out of town family to update them on the weekend’s events for the
wedding. If you’re having a photo booth, make props for your guests that match
your theme and your personalities. Put something that the groom enjoys popping
out of the wedding cake! When it comes to your big day, the smaller
the touches, the better remembered!

Pews for your Outdoor Ceremony
What an absolutely darling idea! Bring the country chapel charm outdoors and use wooden pews for your ceremony instead of the traditional (or plastic) white chairs. It adds so much character and personality! I love the pillows and other touches that can be added as well! These photos are from Pews in the Garden, (located in Dallas, TX) and they provide white or natural wood pews for your outdoor ceremony.
You can see Pews in the Garden at our upcoming bridal show "The Wedding Reception" at the Dallas Arboretum on Oct 21st! Brides can pre-register at our website www.idobridalsoiree.com and vendors can register by calling (214) 218-2525.
